  • Accessibility + Community Guidelines

This blog is part of my MCO 426 course at ASU, I want it to be a place where people can ask questions and talk about media in a respectful way. I do not expect everyone to agree with me, and that is okay, because I always believe different opinions can make the conversation better, as long as people are respectful to each other.

If you leave a comment, please stay on topic and be polite. It is fine to disagree, but personal attacks, hate speech or rude language are not acceptable. In addition, since this blog is about media literacy, I also think it is important to be careful with information. For example, If you share news, it is helpful to include a reliable source when possible.

If someone sees an inappropriate comment, they can flag it or contact me through the site, and I will review the comments and decide what to do. However, I will not remove a comment just because someone has a different opinion.

If someone keeps breaking these guidelines, I may block or ban that person from commenting or accessing. My goal is to keep this blog meaningful and welcoming for everyone.

  • About Me

Hi, this is Gary. I’m currently live in California and I’m a student of Arizona State University. This blog is part of my MCO 426 course, and I will use it to share my thoughts about media literacy and the role digital media plays in everyday life.

Last semester, I completed MCO 425: Digital Media Literacy I. In that course, I learned how media messages are created, influence the way people receive information, and why topics like bias, misinformation and credibility are important. Now I’m taking MCO 426, I hope to build more on what I learned before and get more understanding on media in today’s world. We are living in a world of media now, so I think it is important to think critically about it. I am not an expert, but I am interested in this topic and willing to learn through this blog.
